On the Run

Mobile App, 2023

Project in process | UX Designer & Researcher

The mobile app design is currently in process.  Check back for updates.

Overview

There are many apps that have the ability to log workouts, fitness goals, or connect people.  Sometimes people need to use many different apps to connect to running clubs, record fitness information, and share within private groups.  A potential client, who already has a website for running classes, is looking for a way to build the running community through an easy to use mobile app that encompasses many of the features users access in several different apps.

THE PROBLEM

Runners need a way to socialize, connect, and share within a private group because it is important to stay accountable for fitness goals and build community with each other even when they are unable to run together.

THE SOLUTION

USER RESEARCH SURVEY

To understand what runners use to record workouts, connect with others, and would want in a fitness app, I surveyed users who would benefit from an app including these features.  I also interviewed members of the potential client group to see what features would be wanted in the mobile app design.
